Our Beach Posts

How could I post all these pictures of Brazil and not post anything about the beaches. That is all we did every morning, walk down from our apartment and out to the beach for a couple of hours. By 1pm all the people from Rio were coming by the bus loads and we were heading back for naps. It was the perfect set-up! Bikinis, thongs, boardshorts and speedos were the item of choice for the Brazilians. The only time I felt like a tourist was when I was on the beach, in my one-piece bathing suit! All the women small, big, young or old wear bikinis. Now why is it that the "Land of the Free" is so judgmental on the ideal body? All American women need a trip to Brazil to gain some body confidence because the Brazilian women sure do have it!!!....next time baby!

Naturalized Brazilians

So did Ellie...

Beach

On the beaches in Rio, you can buy almost anything. Vendors will walk along selling food, drinks and hair beautification.... Ellie getting into her Brazilian "roots"

And of course they sell ice cream..it was a daily ritual

Life just could not get any better than this!

What would be Brazil without coconut juice

Pao de Acucar "Sugar Loaf"

Our Brazil Trip!

The Saturday after Christmas, we jet-seted to our favorite place in the world: Brazil! Ever since i was a young girl, I remember going to Brazil with my mom and sisters to spend the summer there. Those memories are ones that I hold so close to my heart because of the wonderful experiences we had and the love I have for my family there and the country. I don't know why I love Brazil so much, is it because i don't live there and therefore love it it so because i only vacation there? Or because it is one of the most beautiful places in the world! The Brazilian people are genuine and loving. The food is great! And most of all I love the shoes!!!!

So we decided to go since Clay hadn't started law school, I wasn't pregnant, and James wanted to take some time off! We were there 10 days and loved every bit of it. Beach by morning, shower, lunch, naps by afternoon and then sight seeing by night. What more could we want! It was fantastic! The kids did great! Therefore I want to go back next year!!!

Here is our trip to Rio De Janiero, Brazil!

Happy New Year From Copacabana Beach!

Between steeet vendors, partiers, muscicians, drunks, gringos and half naked people, the streets of Copacabana were packed for the New Year show. And we were right there with it all!!!
