Preschool Party

Today in celebration of Ellie's birthday, we had a cupcake decorating lesson at her preschool. Ellie was so excited to have her friends decorate cake with her, that this morning the first thing out of her mouth was "cupcakes today?" We all had a blast! Just a precursor for our birthday girl tomorrow!!

The Family

Just recently, I read a great article about "The Truly Happy Family" by Orson Scott Card. He made one very significant comment in his article that has been on my mind all day today.

"THE MEASURE OF A JOYFUL FAMILY LIFE IS NOT IN OUR TRANSIENT EMOTIONS BUT RATHER IN OUR LASTING COMMITMENTS! "


I really need to remember this, because it has so much truth to it. No matter what changes in your life, you have your commitment to your family and that is what binds us on this earth! To be with our family forever! It gives me new meaning of love and thankfulness for my great little family!

I am so thankful for my two beautiful girls and the blessing of being a stay-at-home mom! There are so many blessings and little miracles in the life of a Mother!

The "hurry up and take a picture" smile Can you tell we ate our hearts out....

My birthday this year was the best ever! It first started on Friday, when James gave me the whole day off. I worked out, swam with the girls, went to the Temple, headed out for some window shopping and then met up with some fantastic gals for a delicious Italian dinner and a movie.

Then Saturday, James takes me out for an afternoon date. Wolverine(The BEst Movie) Dinner and a quiet night in, as the girls slept.

Then the final day of celebration, Sunday! It was a fantastic Day! My sister Mae, prepared me the most delicious dinner ever! My family ate so well that night! It was so delicious!!! Then my sister, Camilla baked two lemon meringue pies just what I wanted and bought two delicious cakes from a sweet bakery called "Susie Cakes". Yum! It was so special! Thanks all for making it so fun!!!
