Ellie is Five Today

Dear Ellie,
You are my first born, and now you are turning Five today and I can't even believe that these years have gone. You have been such a joy to have in our family. You are so loving and caring to your sisters, you are thoughtful towards others and you are full with so much energy and excitement for life. I love your confidence and the strong personality you hold. You can be a tender hearted one too at times, but that just means we can get to hold you a little longer...
You love to be on stage and have everyone's attention! You love to sing and dance. You make friends wherever we go. You are a little monkey, climbing up everything and trying new tricks.
You don't like sweets very much. Chocolate "Hostess"donuts are your one and only favorite treat! You are just like your Mom in eating lots of "soft" bread with butter, plain rice and the best of all plain noodles right out of the pan. You much rather lick the bowl then eat one of the baked desserts.
You are so patient with your sister Amerie, and you have been a good example to her.You love to hold Eva and sing to her when she is screaming crying. You absolutely LOVE to wear skirts all the time and slip on flats. Your scooter is the hottest commodity in your life right now, and you love to ride on the driveway. You would love to have straight hair, but I make it a point you hear people's love for your hair...
Ellie, you are beautiful and so special to our family. We love you so much!
Happy Birthday!!!!
XOXO, Mom

Conversations...

Yesterday in the car, Ellie and I were talking about our upcoming trip to Sacramento. This is how it went

Ellie: Is Dad home yet from work?
Me: No, Ellie he is still there working hard to earn money. He goes to work everyday so that we have money to buy things, like our plane tickets to Bubba's house.
Ellie: (Silence for a while)..well I know what, how about we tear my check and give half to the airplane and the other half I can keep for my presents.
Me: Ellie that is a great idea! You are so kind to share your birthday check with us!

Another proud parent moment! Ellie you are so sweet! I am so thankful for these moments I can witness by being with my girls.
Thanks JJ for working hard and keeping me home!

Tummy Time

Eva has her tummy time, everyday and is getting better and better at it. But after just a few minutes she poops out!
And then it's a face plant on the floor with a high shriek of crying...

I wish I could do that for my "tummy time". But instead I have to eat this...

A nice, cold glass of pasteurized egg whites. Oh I hate this part of post-baby blues. When is my "tummy time" going to end????

Turning Thirty

Turning Thirty was a monumental achievement in my recent list of accomplishments. I have had a great 30years of life so far, and to celebrate even more, made turning Thirty a huge experience! Thanks to everyone who made this party so much fun!
For entertainment, we had a samba dancer come and teach us girls how to really shake it, "Brazilian" style. She was fantastic! And luckily fully clothed:)
Then on Monday, I wanted to do something out of the ordinary on my birthday...so I convinced my two sisters to do the same and we all went to Sea World!

Ellie and Amerie won't stop talking about wanting to be a Shamu trainer. But Ames makes it a point that she won't get in the water with Shamu...

Ames feeling a little brave here, at first she thought Shamu could eat her!

It was a fantastic weekend, with good company, some Samba moves to keep me young and a fantastic day with the little people I really do love! Thanks to everyone for making it so special!!!
