Los Angeles Temple

We had a special family outing to the Los Angeles Temple.

The new and very improved Visitors Center! It was so incredibly fun to go inside and venture around to all their new hands-on activities and watch the fantastic movies the church produces! The girls LOVED it! We could have stayed another hour…

If you haven't’ been then get up and go! And make sure you take the kids! It was a beautiful day, walking around the magnificent Temple that showcases so much history and culture to Los Angeles! And especially LOVED the time with my family! I am grateful for the blessings of the Temples and the part they play in my eternal family!

Halloween

The girls this year all decided upon themselves who they most wanted to represent this year for Halloween! Ellie, with the influence of her two cousins “the Storm Troopers” had to be their princess of course!

And Amerie and her cousin Zane were the best looking “Woody” and “Jessie” ever to walk the earth!!!

Since Halloween was on Sunday this year, we all had a blast handing out candy and playing games!

Of course James creamed Tio Clay! Of course I creamed Tia Mae

And then a good Halloween book to settle the candy, donut, Frankenstein ingested kids! Happy Halloween!

Our Quick Trip to Sacramento: Week 2 of Ellie’s School Break

 

We had lots of fun with Bubba and Nutter Bubba while in Sacramento. Eva ate and ate and ate all of Bubba’s food, we rode horses, ate delicious apple pie from Apple Hill, played on pumpkins and had fun with all of our cousins!

Our Adventure at Sea World: Week 1 of Ellie’s School Break

It was Sea Otter Awareness Month, so the girls got all dolled up for the occasion

The girls, especially Amerie wanted to feed the dolphins. For 6 bucks, it was well worth it! Ellie got to pet her dolphin

Then makes her dolphin really open wide to receive her fish without snapping her hand off

And little Ames, who for months has asked to feed the dolphins was just content to sit back and watch!

Then we went to the Pet Show, and increased our love for dogs! At least for very well trained and calm dogs.

They even had a pet kangaroo!

This says it all! Mission Accomplished! Ellie had a blast!

Preschool

Amerie started her Preschool class this Monday. And oh, did I ever feel that this was maybe too early for my Ames to be away from me. Why is it that every time one of the girls start school, it is always hard to see them leave your side, when most of the time you are thinking you just can’t wait for them to be in school. It’s a vicious cycle of motherhood, kinda like childbirth…Well she went and of course I felt guilty when I left, but then when I went back to get her, I had the biggest greeting and smile from my little Ames, that I knew she had so much fun!

And when she comes home with the coolest hat a preschooler would ever want-I am sold! What a fun year she is going to have!!!!

Twinkle Toes Vs. Blue Dolphins

 

We are officially an “all American family”…enter: A.Y.S.O

Ellie is loving her soccer team, her practices, her pink soccer socks, and cleats and especially her Twinkle toe uniform!

Ellie had a smile on her face the whole entire time…and of course so did I, a BIG one! Oh, how I look at her and see glimpses of my childhood: crazy hair in a ponytail, flushed cheeks and a uniform on!

Ellie played against one of her friends from church, and so she had her first experience of trying to play soccer and focus on not chatting with her buddy! Too Cute!

I think these girls both have the best coaches in A.Y.S.O!!!!

Amerie Turns Three

 

Our second girlie, come with so much spunk and pizzazz. With a love for undies and sweets! A little sidekick to her big sister, Amerie has shown us another side of parenting. She knows how to push our buttons…and get another song or another book, or stall at bedtime. She loves her little babies, piggies, and now shamu! When we are done eating breakfast, she asks for a snack.

Happenings...

This just in! The latest thing to happen to our household life.Shamu made a special appearance at our house. Amerie even made a special place for him to sleep!

And Eva is officially NOT a baby anymore. She loves man made food! Oatmeal with some prune juice is her latest! And her greatest comes out the other end! Yeah for solids!!!!
