My Easter basket Cake!

What a beautiful day to celebrate the Resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ! Today, Easter Sunday, was filled with warm weather and a special dinner at Vovos' (thats what Ellie calls her grandparents in Portuguese) I am so thankful for all of my blessings I have received because of this wonderful gospel that blesses my life. I am thankful for Jesus Christ. For my faith and also for my family. It has been a very special day! Happy Easter to all and may we remember that Easter brings new life, just as Jesus Christ brings us new life, a new chance to begin on the right path!

"I go baptize" and other Ellie antics

So Ellie's new thing this month is all about baptism. Everything she does or says or responds too is " I go baptize". James just recently took her to our Stake Baptism Day to witness a friends' baptism and now that is all she ever talks about. No matter where she is, it is " I go baptize". At the park playing with her friends, baptize is what she is running off to do, at the dinner table, in the bathtub, and on the toilet even. Of course it has been very positive on any one responsible to comb her hair in the bath because all we have to say is "Ellie time to get baptized" and most of the time she will dunk her head in the water.

When she's not talking about "baptize" then she is asking about "spaceschool". This week we went around our area to get on the incredibly long waiting lists of preschools. It is so crazy how you really need to put your child on these waiting lists when they barely turn 1. One school already gave me an application for Ames...Geesh!!! But Ellie of course loved it! And now she always is asking when she gets to go to "spaceschool"?

Then when she wants to buy herself more time before she really HAS to get into bed at night, she will get this panic look on her face and hold her "pee pee" and say "pee please"! She is such a stinker! A smart little stinker!!!!

We were out at the park on Saturday, and Amerie just had to show off her big sisters' sunglasses! Watch out Hollywood!

Happy Birthday!

Amerie is 6 months old and to celebrate her special day, she went to the doctors to get her well-check. (Gees what a good Mom eh?) Well, it ended really special of course after all those yucky shots. Ames surprised us all by her percentile in height! She was 28 1/2 in. long, putting her in the 100th percentile!!! Yea we are going to have a super athlete!!! James was especially excited!!! My little babe is growing up! Happy 6 months of sweet life Amerie!

Xanadu Anyone?

So growing up I LOVED to wear my roller skates everywhere I went. My mom tells me stories of when I just had to wear my roller skates to the mall and ended up in the hospital because I had crashed trying to ride the escalator....but that didn't stop me from loving my roller skates. In elementary, I remember going to the roller skating parties every Friday night. It was so much fun! Then I saw XANADU, with Olivia Newton-John and just completely feel in love! Now I found out that Xanadu is showing on Broadway.....I HAVE to go see it! Anyone in to going on a girls trip to New York?????
