It has been 12 days since the arrival of our new baby, Eva and her big sister
Amerie has had lots of concerns and questions about her baby.

The first thing that has been a huge concern for
Amerie is Eva's belly button or as
Ames calls it her "Burn Pooh Pooh". She wouldn't come close to Eva when it was time to change her diaper because she was so worried
about her "burn pooh pooh" hurting. She of course asked all about it and so always has to reference "cord" and "Dad cut it" So much for a little curious girl to comprehend!

But by the looks of
Amerie's face, she is more than eager to help in the feedings of little Eva! She has been my little nursing sidekick: she has her own pillow, grabs one of her babies and sits next to me with shirt lifted and all and we nurse together! This nursing thing of course is so new to me since I struggled so much with the other two girls that I eventually stopped. But Eva has been so receptive and keeping me focused! Now if I can get a
feeling for nursing out of the home, we'd be set. But that will soon come I guess with practice.
We are enjoying our little new baby and watching the girls hold and ask so many great questions about their new sister.

Your new baby is such a beauty! And I love her name. Your girls seem like such natural little mommies. If you ever need any breastfeeding help, I belong to our local La Leche League group and it is amazing. So much help and support with every aspect of nursing (and its challenges!). Let me know if you want to go to a meeting (we have an Irvine meeting, and your other girls are welcome too) or if you ever need help over the phone. Congrats on your newest addition!
I am so glad that nursing is working this time! I definitely see the conven. of a bottle, but it is so nice to not have to wash any bottles, spit up doesn't stain, poop doesn't smell, and they tend to be overall healthier! Alyssa is constantly pretending to nurse a baby. I get a kick out of it when all the girl cousins get together, form a line on the couch, and each covers with a blanket while they "nurse".
Oi Evelyn,
Aqui é Priscila, filha da Débora. Menina, você não sabe da maior! Ontem fui visitar uma família da minha ala e, conversa vai-conversa vem, quando disse que era do Brasil o casal comentou que conheciam uma brasileira que se parecia comigo! Quando contei que minha mãe mora em Costa Mesa, eles freaked out because they've lived in CM and the friend they were referring to is YOU! - and they asked if I knew you! Okay, so the couple is Mike and Lindsay Banner, in case you're wondering...
Small world...
