This post dates back to October when Ellie’s school had their Harvest Fair. Here Ellie is with her 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Vanlandignham.
The girls had a blast riding the bull
Eva just hung out, walking around since whenever we are at school she is strapped to the stroller
Then in November, the school puts on a Thanksgiving Program. The whole school came walking in singing, “on our way to grandmothers’ house”
Ellie loved to wear her pilgrim hat!
The one thing I really love about this new school is they sing! The kids have music three times a week and they learn a new song every other week. Ellie loves to sing and she takes it to heart!
All the classes presented a Thanksgiving poem by memory then sang a song. I was so impressed by the 8th grade class who gave the Gettysburg Address! WOW!!!
After the school program, we packed up the car and went to Sacramento for Thanksgiving!
33 people at one table! It was a feast to remember!!! The girls re-instated their names onto the polar bear club, James ran a 5k Turkey Trot that his nephew taunted him he was going to loose because his Dad (James’ older brother) was going to win, James did beat his brother and it was SWEET! And of course the most important reason why we go to see family: Lots, and Lots, and Lots of cousin bonding!!!!
