We took the Eurorail to Venice and it was so convenient and nice to look out the window at the beautiful countryside of Italy. When we arrived, you could tell you did because immediately you were surrounded by water. How incredible this little town is on the water. You have to take the water taxis everywhere, or you can walk practically everywhere it would just take you a while. The streets are so narrow and whindy. You walk down the alley and turn a corner, you are more than likely that you will run into someone if you are not careful. the town is so quaint. While we were there they were having the Venice marathon, which sparked James' interest and is now recruiting participants....The food in Venice was better than Rome, and it was sure cold! I neglected to pack warm clothes, but indulged in buying some scarfs. Everyone wheres a scarf in Italy. Even men! We were there for two days and a half, and saw everything within a day. That's how intimate it is. Even with 21 million visitors a year. It was gorgeous!
