Recently, she has been putting them in her diaper. So for the last couple of days, when we go to get her in the morning, we immediately change her diaper and amazingly, the backs are in her diaper and the rest is in her crib.
Well, it gets better! Saturday, I go into Ames room and I immediately see that she has her earrings out of her ears. So I put her on timeout and go back in to find them. I can't so then I go get Ames off timeout, talk to her about why she had been on timeout and how it is no okay to take her earrings out. So I go to lie her down and I say "Ames where are your earrings?" She points to her nose and says "nose". I brush it off and open her diaper to find no earrings. Then it hits me, I look in her nose and see a bright gold back to an earring wedged up her nose! What a TURKEY!!!
I am so mad right now, but so want to laugh!
So I try to get it out with tweezers, put she moves and I move it up more her nose and James is gone so I can't do it by myself! And I DO NOT want to go to the walk-in at the DR.S on a Saturday morning...finally after a half an hour I remember my father-in-law telling me that he had to plug one side of Ellie's nose and blow into her mouth to get the piece of candy out she had put up there, I decided to try.
I layed Ames on the couch, plugged one of her nostrils and blew in her mouth and POP! It came out!
And yes, this morning James had to do it to both nostrils...

I know you might be mad, but I am laughing for you! I wonder where you will find them next? Happy searching!
What a beautiful little stinker. Ames, please don't tell Sade your secret. :)
This is so funny, Ev! Good thing you don't have bracelets and things on her, I mean, where would those end up!?
THat is so funny and scary at the same time. I am so glad you are such a smart Mom and remembered what you could do!
Girls and earrings? What to do? Maybe give her a break from them for awhile then pick a new pair out together and maybe that will help her to keep them in?
Good luck!!
I am DYING laughing. That is the funniest. I love that cute little girl. Remind me to tell you the story about a kid my mom knew who got a matchbox car stuck up his nose!!
I've yet to see an 8-year-old put an earring up her nose. I say take them out, and get them re-pierced in her later years. Problem solved by Miss Wendy!
Hahahahahahahahahahaha...she's a fun one...hahahahahahahaha...
